FOUR men have been arrested on
suspicion of murder after a Liverpool city centre attack in the early hours of
September 2nd 2012. Officers were called to Colquitt Street around 2.45am following
reports of an assault. There they found 33-year-old Stuart Smith, from London,
who was taken to hospital where he died a short time later. A Home Office post
mortem is underway to establish the cause of death. Four men, aged 39, 39, 33
and 27, all from the London area, have been arrested on suspicion of
murder and are being questioned by detectives. Officers are keen to
talk to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the
incident. They are particularly keen to trace a man who may have captured part
of the assault on his camera phone. Anyone with information is asked to
