2012 The Year of Colquitt / 2012 el año de Colquitt

Welcome to 2012. This year we will be celebrating the bicentenary of the death of John Scrope Colquitt. Events to be held this year include a series of conferences on the English Cross and the Peninsular War from 7^th-11^th of May. There will be an exhibition in the local museum about the English Cross and Alcalá de Guadaíra during the Peninsular War. The main event will be the inauguration of the monument to John Scrope Colquitt at the English Cross where he was buried on 5^th September 1812.

Bienvenidos al año 2012. Este año vamos a celebrar el bicentenario de la muerte de John Scrope Colquitt. Los acontecimientos que tendrán lugar a lo largo de este año incluyen una serie de conferencias sobre la Cruz del Inglés y la Guerra de Independencia entre el 7 y 11 de mayo. Se celebrará una exposición en el museo local sobre la Cruz del Inglés y Alcalá de Guadaíra durante la Guerra de Independencia. El acontecimiento principal será la inauguración del monumento a John Scrope Colquitt en la Cruz del Inglés donde fue enterrado el 5 de septiembre de 1812.
