This is a miniature portrait of an officer of the Foot Guards from the early nineteenth century. Could it be John Scrope Colquitt? Georgina Colquitt, John Scrope Colquitt's daughter, died in Cheltenham in 1879 at the age of 81. In her will, she left all the family portraits, miniatures and her collection of books to her dear cousin Goodwin Colquitt-Craven of Brockhampton Park.
